Dear Scott, We had such a wonderful time
with both of our visits, and both of our
rooms were delightful in different ways! We
loved running just a few steps to the
kitchen for one more cookie and a glass of
milk; and on our return, we were adjoining
the beautiful living room where we could
crack our door to see what was happening,
sit out on our private deck, and enjoy the
breeze and view of gardens on two sides plus
the deck on the back – giving us a panoramic
view of the beauty all around. Plus of
course, the luxurious, spacious hot tub. The
atmosphere is very peaceful and nourishing;
we will cherish our memories of the time
with you and Vince.

Vince & Scott,
Just a long overdue thank you for our
wonderful overnight at Maple Hill Farm Inn!
From you welcome when we arrived to our
delicious breakfast prior to leaving, our
stay was great and perfect! We enjoyed
our hike to hte pond & our use of the hot
tub. Just last week I finally
got around to reading the inn's history &
the article in the "Green & Healthy Maine"
visitors guide. You are both an
inspiration in how you care about
sustainability! Thank you both!
Sincerely, Sonja G. from Maine

We rented Maple Hill Farm for the weekend
for our daughter's wedding. We had a
WONDERFUL weekend. Vince and
Scott, along with their staff, were
wonderful! They had great
suggestions (as this was new to us!) in many
areas!! I had heard wedding days can
be very stressful but our daughter's was
NOT!! Everyone told us during
and after what a wonderful wedding it was
and a wonderful place to have a
wedding. We will highly
recommend Maple Hill Farm to our friends for
their "children's" weddings!! Thank
you SO much for a "stressfree"

First visit to Maine. You all bent
over backwards to make me feel welcome.
Thanks for your hard work and dedication.
It was a wonderful, relaxing visit.
Joe, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Staying at Maple Hill Farm was a wonderful
experience. This B&B has the comfort
of a big hotel with the charm of a B&B.
More over, you, Scott & Vince, gave us a
wonderful and warm welcome which made us
feel right at home. Thanks so
Elizabeth & Alain.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience
while staying at the Maple Hill Farm.
Both of you provided such a warm, hospitable
atmosphere. The breakfsat is delicious
and the soap is awesome. I will highly
recommend this place to everyone going to
visit Maine. Hope to be back soon!

After getting married here on a perfect
fall day, we had to come back to relax by
the fireplace and go snowshoeing. The
stay was perfect and hospitality and service
were outstanding, not to mention the cozyest
breakfast ever. Thank you all for a
fabulous few days!! We will be back!

Scott & Vince,
Once again we enjoyed a lovely stay. The food was
delicious, your hospitality was delightful.
Your warm and inviting inn, coupled with the
values of environmental stewardship and your
caring character as innkeepers make it a
respite unmatched. Hope to see you
again. 4-year anniversary
Thank you kindly. Peace.

Another lovely stay, breakfast incomparable,
hosting the same. Good company, good
chat, new acquaintances made & "Words with
friends" with Scott what more could we ask -
we will be back - this is another place to
add to our homes from home. Keep up
the great work. ☆☆☆☆☆

A port in a storm. An unexpected find with gracious hosts and an
authentic gift for hospitality.
Kevin from Australia.
We only stayed one night but it was
wonderful. There are so many
amenities. We used the hot tub & sauna
under the stars. Maple Hill Farm B&B
was our 9th B&B experience on this trip and
our best. The breakfast was yummy!
Donald & Ginger from New York.
you Scott and Vince for a lovely B&B
experience! I greatly appreciated the
brown bag breakfast you left for me in the
guest refrigerator [due to my very early
departure] and the organic coffee was
wonderful! My room was clean beyond my
expectation. I actually spilled water on the
bathroom floor and when I wiped it up there
was not a speck of dirt on the towel. I was
grateful that the room was also quiet. You
were excellent hosts and have a charming
B&B. If I ever need to stay overnight in the
area again, I would select your location
over any others, by far! I wish you many
more years of success in your outstanding
business! Many thanks.
Georgana, April 2012
Thank you so much for everything. Joe & I count
ourselves as two fortunate souls to have
been graced to come across your B&B.
I found this in your library and smiled. It's in
the Voice of Maine by Frederick J. Jaeckel:
I live in a place among the trees
Trees that provide me with shelter, sustenance and
A place so achingly beautiful, gentle, and peaceful,
That all I can say to a visitor is this:
Revel in what you see here.
Thank god for this privilege,
Return home in safety and peace,
And tell no one what you saw here.
My feelings exactly! :)
Anne and Joe. October
We came for one night, but had to stay a 2nd!
Loved the animals, hot tub, the sound of
rain on the roof and of course, the
pancakes. Scott gave us wonderful
travel advice. Hope to visit again.
My life has (for the last 2 years) taken a hard break
-- and, very recently, I've caught a lucky
break -- and so Debbie and I are vacationing
to help me heal from the hard and celebrate
the lucky. We came to Maine because,
last early spring, I traveled to Gardiner,
ME, for a week's work with the U.S. Census
Bureau. We came back -- and stayed
here, at your Hallowell B&B for 2 days --
and I've fallen in love again. With
Maine, with Debbie, with the brighter
possibilities in life. Thank you so
Matt and Debbie, July 2011.

A poem titled "Thank You":
What can I say about Maple
Hill Farm --
Words can't describe its
warmth and its charm
The people so warm, so
helpful, so Kind
How did we ever discover this
Our room was so elegant, yet
warm and refreshing
Just what we needed for rest
We've travelled a lot, stayed
in many a place
But Maple Hill Farm comes
first in the race.
From the welcome we got when
we did first arrive
Till the time we departed for
another long drive
The memories we take with us,
shall always remain
Till the next time we visit
-- again and again
Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

greatly enjoyed our two-day stay at your

for a better experience. Thank you for
everything! Sincerely, Amanda and Neil from

Scott and Vince, Thank you
again for a wonderful stay my first visit to

you and God bless you!!

What a warm, pleasant, homey

seemed like we were working here.
Thanks for the warm welcome to Maine --
looking forward to coming back some day.

from Pennsylvania, stayed a week, March
thank you enough for helping us have a
wonderful event! Not one person complained
about the temperature, the food or the
environment. Our event the following day at
a different venue had all those complaints
and more...you set the bar pretty high and
as a presenter I thoroughly enjoyed the ease
of use of your conference center. Thank
you, thank you, thank you! ~
Vanessa, September 2010.
What a pleasant and soothing stay! From the
grounds, animals, flowers to the lovely
food! and lovely rooms. I will

You guys are great! Thanks so
much for all you did to make [our
daughter's] wedding a big success.
There are times when one makes a decision
and knows it is wrong and times when you
know it is right and Maple Hill [Farm] B&B
was just so right. Thanks a million.
~ Dick & Sue. July 2010.
After having toured New England for twelve
days and mostly stayd in very unpersonal and
anonymous hotels it was very nice to end up
in Maple Hill Farm and be so nicely welcome
-- I am really sorry that I can't stay here
for the next weeks! ~ Otto from
Denmark, July 2010.
Thank you for a very peaceful getaway.
The Maple Hill Farm will forever be in our
hearts (and in our GPS). You two are a
splendid pair and together you have created
a very magical place here. Even small
town New York, where we are from, can become
too much at times. This trip has
grounded the two of us and at a good time --
being right before the crazy holiday season.
It shows that you both work very hard, no
stone has been left unturned -- and every
comfort one could wish for can be found on
this beautiful estate. Good luck in
the years to come and I am sure we will be
seeing you and the farm again. ~ xoxo

Jeff & Marleen, March 2009.
We would like to
thank you for the spectacular presentation
of your hospitality. We could not of
picked a better, more suitable venue for our
celebration than yours. Everyone
commented on your delicious food, "the best
meatballs ever!" "What a spread!" "This was
the best reception we have ever been to!"
... and on and on.
appreciated your attentiveness to the
quality and quantity of the food. The
atmosphere was perfect, which went along
with one of the most beautiful days
in June. Thanks for making our day one
to remember. ~
Sharon and Colin, July 2009.
Once again this has been a wonderful visit
to a peaceful, relaxing place. Every
time we are here, you have added and
improved but I don't think it can be more
perfect. The food, hospitality, and
comfortable rooms are great. When we
come to Maine, this is one of our places to
visit. ~ Ed & G-Nell, South
Carolina, May 2009.
Thank you both for an awesome event!
Our retreats and conventions take us to
many hotels and conference facilities
throughout Maine, but rarely do
we experience the personal consideration
that we received from you both and your wait
staff. I will highly recommend your
facility and hope to use it again in the
near future. ~ Rita, May
Thank you Maple Hill :) Great space,
wonderful service, delicious food, thanx for

greatly appreciated while making our reservation. ~ Karyn, April 2009.
Want to thank you for a wonderful party.
The setup, the service, and the food was
great. You all did a great job. I’m sure
everyone that attended will be sending good
vibes about your place. Thank you once
again. ~ Carol, February 2009.
Dear Friends at Maple Hill -
Thank you so much for your wonderful
hospitality which made our event such a
success. The food was really, really
good, your facility is superb and your staff
was really friendly and accommodating.

we are able to have another event with you
soon. ~ M.B, December 2008.
We would both like to
thank you for such a wonderful weekend!
The inn is beautiful and the two of you make
for a delightful ambiance & feel! We
look forward to staying again - probably
around April. I'm sure the inn is just
as lovely in the spring ☺ Again, thanks so
much for the gracious hospitality & sense of
welcoming. Warmest wishes to you both.
~ C&M, Yarmouth, Maine, November 2008.
(This note was accompanied by a homemade
Scott and Vince! I have reviewed the
evaluations from the workshop and want to
share some of the responses with you:
One comment made was “loved the “Inn”
feel.” Two folks said that lunch was the
most enjoyable part of the workshop!
Another comment was “Great location, great
accommodations, and great food”, and there
were 3 requests to hold our workshop at
Maple Hill Farm again next year. I
also want to thank you especially for
meeting our lunch requests. My
compliments to you and all of your staff!
Everyone is friendly and easy to work with
and I will certainly recommend Maple Hill
Farm on every occasion that I have a chance
to do so. Many thanks again. ~

is our second year coming to Maple Hill Farm.
We'll be back next year too! You guys 'get it'
here, just what it takes to make guests
comfortable. Even the little things, like the
new clock radio. Fancy! www.MaineLobsterFestival.com Don't miss it!"

comfort, and the conversation! Thanks" ~ David &
Janice, Japer, GA, May 2008
"Scott, Vince & Staff (Don't know names, but you
are great) I'm actually staying here on
business, so this is VERY unique for me. I
originally was at the Senator Inn & some
of my other co-workers stayed here on a
recommendation. You have to understand that I
stayed 36 weeks over the last year at hotels
across this country & Canada. Hiltons are my
favorite, but this place is FAR & Above anything
they could offer. The breakfast was like nothing
anywhere else & your team's hospitality is top
notch. I grew up on a farm in central Illinois,
so it really feels like home. I hope to return
someday & if I'm ever here on business you'll
definitely see me again! Thanks!" ~ Chad,
Springfield, IL, August 2007
"Your place is very cozy. It reminded me of
my Grandmother's house. My son Norman & Cindy
got married today and the warm atmosphere made
it even more special. Merci beaucoup pour votre
hospitalité." ~ Lea, Springfield, MA,
"Thanks for such a nice stay. Beautiful
grounds and great room. Thanks for the wonderful
breakfast and fresh coffee! Our room was
comfortable and the hot tub very relaxing!" ~
Frank & Lisa, Hollis, ME, May 2006
"My first time staying at a B&B - makes me
want to do this more often. I have never had
such a relaxing experience while working. Thank
you!" ~ Marilyn, Burbank, SD, March 2006
"What a great 2 day get-away! Not far from
home with pampering. Loved the visit with the
llamas, sheep, bulls, cows, horse and goats.
Thank you for having such a wonderful place and
attentive people. Also, a functional convention
area. Thanks so much. You will be seeing us
again!" ~ Cynthia & Jim, Scarborough, ME,
"This is such a special place - especially if
one is looking for peace and quiet, comfort,
pretty scenery and friendly people. Thank you
for your warm hospitality." ~ Doug & Helen,
Berwyn, PA, September 2005
"To All, We had a wonderful time staying on
your farm. The atmosphere is so relaxing, so
peaceful, and so very friendly. The breakfasts
were delicious and hearty, the fire warm and
inviting, and the 'big red barn' thoroughly
interesting (even though I'm frightened to death
of big animals). Thank you for your kind
hospitality and we would love to come and stay
again. P.S. That 'slight incline' when skiing is
a little more than slight!" ~ Gerard &
Emily, Bristol, RI, February 2005
"Only had two nights at this
home.' Whilst you are here, just take the time
to understand that this place is something akin
to heaven on earth. The kindness & generosity of
your hosts knows no bounds. So sorry to leave
but our memories will last us a lifetime. Scott
& Vince - you have our utmost respect." David &
Lyn, Manchester, England, July 2004
"The preceding superlatives are very
deserving. The ambiance, the quarters, the food
and the hosts are all outstanding. Even the
construction activities are impressive. Best of
Luck to you Scott and Vince as you progress in
your expansion! Thanks for hosting the Alpaca
Neonatal Seminar. Cheers!" ~ Leslie, Greeley,
CO, May 2004
"We have returned for our third visit to
Maple Hill to stay near relatives. We feel
comfortable here and it reminds us of Grandma's
house in Randolf. How many inns would provide a
guest with dress shoes to wear to a funeral? We
will return" ~ Donna & Roland, Saugus, CA,
"Thank you for a wonderful
husband surprised me for my birthday. We are
always so busy with our 2 children, 15 & 12,
that I stated how it would be nice if we could
get away. I was so shocked when he said
yesterday Friday we were going shopping and
ended up here! We had a lovely evening, just the
2 of us. Breakfast was delicious! Thank you for
a warm and cozy place to enjoy the company of my
husband!" ~ Alan & Renee, Augusta, ME, April
"We happened across your brochure at an
information booth as we were making our way
north from Mass. for a quick getaway before the
busy holidays. What a find!! Room 8 is a
wonderful quiet haven that I would recommend to
all my friends. Everything has been perfect. The whirlpool, the fireplace
and the food made our stay a really
unforgettable experience. We will be
back." ~ Bill & Ada, Braintree, MA,
"I really thank you, Scott & Vince! I've
never had such hospitality that you gave me. I love
this warm atmosphere and, of course, breakfast
as well. It's wonderful! I've been staying
comfortable in my pretty room... everything's
fine for me. I'm sure I'll be back soon. (I
can't forget your muffins & cakes...)
Though it's chilly outside, I feel so warm.
Thank you so much!!" ~ Reiko, Osaka, Japan,
"Thank you for your hospitality!! The inn is
quite charming. The room was nicely decorated
and the bed extremely comfortable. My wife and I
have not had a more enjoyable time under the
covers - sleeping of course. We loved the barn,
our daughter enjoyed seeing the animals - her
first encounter with farm animals. Your patience
with us and our 8 month old Lucy were greatly
appreciated. The two of you make the inn feel
like home - without the chores and
responsibilities. A very relaxing time was had
by all three of us. We look forward to a 2nd
visit in the future. Thanks again! P.S. Do take
a vacation - soon." ~ Nino, Chris & Lucy, Yorba
Linda, CA, October 2001
Freedom! So glad we blew off the 'family' plans
in Canada and spent time here just us & you(s) &
the animals & the other guests - We ♥LOVED♥
EVERYTHING!!! We really would be right at home
here, so once this baby comes - watch out! We
got a whole disposable camera of shots, so
they'll be here soon. thanx! MERCI! Gracias &
All that.... P.S. Happy '4th' - I know Maine
celebrates in style. P.P.S. BYE TO MAXINE the
her thanks for joining us @ dinner. Next time
we'll dine outdoors." ~ Carol & Dave (& Baby
"J"), Boston, MA, July 2001
"This evening, I asked my darling Marie
Christine to marry me, and she said 'Yes!' We
spent an hour in front of the gas fire in room
#6, telling one another how much we love each
other. May other couples know as much joy as we
have here! Happy New Year!" 12/31/00, 10:30 p.m.
"Terrific - c'est tres bien!" ~ Ryan, St.
Agatha, ME, August 2000
"Thank you for a lovely visit. Despite the
rain, we had a wonderful time meeting (and
feeding) the goats, eating the freshly laid eggs
for breakfast, having a cocktail on the porch
and generally enjoying the cozy atmosphere and
beautiful surrounding countryside." ~ Suzanne &
John, Upper Montclair, NJ, July 2000
"What a wonderful place. Makes me feel like
I'm home. The warm faces and hospitality and

"Our first visit here and we expect to return
many more times. We appreciate (most of all)
Scott and Vince's warm hospitality. Thank you -
both of you!" Gil & Chan, Signal Hill, CA,
"Our first experience of Maine and
we loved it! Your home and hospitality made our
vacation wonderful. Vince sure makes a mean
breakfast - the coast crowds don't know what
they're missing. Scott and Vince have put R&R
into B&B for us. What else can we say? Words
don't do justice to the peaceful serenity. See
you again sometime. P.S. Eva gives two thumbs up
and a 2-tooth smile." ~ Francis, Ceril & little
Eva, Boonton, NJ, August 1999
"Our first and most memorable Valentine's Day
♥! Thank you for making it complete in every way
- we will, without a doubt, return for special
occasions and celebrations. We trust Maxine the

level of hospitality as her owners! Thank you
for a stellar time!" ~ Rob & Lynn, Farmingdale,
